💡 Chord Identification Tips

Chords are identified using pitch-class analysis. By checking different notes as roots, the engine can find standard major/minor triads, 7th chords, suspensions, power chords, and more. If a chord is played with a note in the bass other than the root (e.g. C major with an E on the lowest string), it will be correctly identified as an inversion (like C/E). Power chords (5ths) require at least 2 distinct notes, and full triads require 3.
